The Gary Dourdan Experience

In His Own Words (contd)

"...Yes I've lived in Venice for about seven years now. I really like it here because there so many different cultures...its like a village. My tagline is the lower east side with a beach."

"You walk into a room like this, with all these beautiful people you know, inspirational people, and you have another sense of hope. It's a great honour because of the fellow actors that I was nominated with, they're all friends of mine. Good friends and we've known each other for years, we've been in auditions together. So, you know, at that point it doesn't matter anymore, who wins, because you're happy for your friends, you know, and you push each other up. And that's what it means at this award...there's no competition."

"With our family, there are so many mixes, so we tend to celebrate a lot of customs. We light the candles for Chanukah (to celebrate Jewish family members) and the candles are lit for Kwanzaa holiday."
